Barrios 2026

How Barrios Work

Barrios are themed villages or spaces at events. Any human can register a barrio, and barrio admins approve them for the event.

Registering a Barrio

Go to the Barrios page
Click Register a Barrio
Fill in barrio details: name, description, theme, requirements
Submit for review — a barrio admin will approve, or reject with notes

Barrio Lifecycle

Pending — awaiting admin review
Active — your barrio is confirmed for the event
Rejected — admin has declined (with notes)
Full — a lead marked the barrio as full (informational)
Withdrawn — a lead withdrew the season

A Pending season becomes Active (approved), Rejected or Withdrawn. An Active season can become Full or Withdrawn. A Camp Admin can reactivate a Full season (back to Active) or a Withdrawn one (back to Pending). A returning barrio that was approved before is approved straight away.

Barrio Leads

Anyone holding the barrio's Camp Lead role is a Barrio Lead; registering a barrio assigns it to you. Barrio leads can:

Edit their barrio details
Manage barrio members and roles
Withdraw the season or mark it full

What Happens Automatically

Humans are notified when their request to join a barrio is approved or rejected
Pending join requesters are notified when the barrio's season is rejected or withdrawn
Humans are notified when they are assigned a role in a barrio
